At one time this property was owned by John Latham, a lumberman, who briefly served as postmaster in 1881-82.
The house was built by Alfred Wark. It was later owned by the Downing and Morden Families.
During this period the original logs were covered by siding, possibly insulbrick. The building is now owned by the 3-Ought Hunt Club and used seasonally. ca. 1930s
